Last week I had an experience that added a little insight to the way the Bible sometimes symbolically represents people with water (Revelation 17:15).
I asked a student to wash some carrots with a hose. It turns out that the hose hadn’t been used for a while. The student accidentally sprayed water all over the side of the room when she turned on the hose. Suddenly the room smelled almost as bad as my socks.
When water sits stagnant for too long, it starts to stink. So when we’re tempted to complain about being too busy, let’s be thankful that we’re not being left to stagnate!
